Probably the biggest difference is Is the timer missing KT3100 proves to work in timer mode.Another difference is the KT3009 display has blue LED digits, this can be an advantage because it can be seen in the dark, but it can also interfere.

The KT3009 temperature controller is designed to control temperature for various applications, such as heating rod, heating pad, electric water heater, compressor, heat pump, etc. This manual provides instructions on how to use the controller effectively.
Important Notes:
The maximum output current of the controller is 10A (110Vac/220Vac). Please do not exceed this limit.
For resistive loads such as heating rod, heating pad, electric water heater, etc., the recommended maximum power is ≤ 800W. For inductive loads such as compressor, heat pump, etc., the recommended maximum power is ≤ 275W.
Please read and understand all instructions before using the controller.
Key Operation Instructions:
Normal Working Status: In normal working status, the screen displays the real-time temperature.
Setting Start Temperature: Press the UP key once. The screen will display the start temperature.
Setting Stop Temperature: Press the DOWN key once. The screen will display the stop temperature.
Changing Start Temperature: To change the start temperature, hold the UP key until the LED flashes. Then, press the UP or DOWN key to adjust the temperature as needed.
Changing Stop Temperature: To change the stop temperature, hold the DOWN key until the LED flashes. Then, press the UP or DOWN key to adjust the temperature as needed.
